Dress Code
Dress Code for Middle School
To help create the best learning environment for our students, the dress code for middle school students must be followed by ALL of our students in grades 6-8.
Tops
- Collared shirts, blouses, and tops of any color or appropriate print.
- Only non-collared PMHS school and club shirts will be permitted
- No hooded shirts, tank tops, camisoles or spaghetti straps are allowed
Bottoms
- Docker style pants, jeans, knee length shorts, and capris in solid colors and prints are permitted.
- Pants and/or jeans with rips, cuts, slits, or inappropriate designs are NOT allowed
- No sweat pants of any style
- No dresses, skirts (Exemption for religious reasons)
Shoes
- Athletic style shoes are recommended.
- Shoes must have closed toes and a back.
- No Crocs. No flip-flops or sandals. No soft/hard bottom bedroom slippers. No high heels.
Headgear
- Hoods are never permitted to be worn on campus.
- Inappropriate head coverings are not permitted to be worn on campus.
- Examples of inappropriate headwear are: do-rags, bandanas, bonnets, shower caps, wave caps, stocking caps, etc.
ID Badges
- Policy 5.0115 - Student ID badge: All students Pre-K-12th grade are required to have their current School District ID badge displayed anytime while on District property.
Backpacks
- Only clear or mesh backpacks or small purses are allowed
- Materials not meeting this standard are a potential safety hazard and will be confiscated by school administration.
Technology
- House Bill 379 -Prohibits the use of cell phones/personal technology use during instructional time.
- Palm Beach County School District policy 5.1812 & 5.1813 also prohibits students to use or have these devices out at any time on school property.

To help create the best learning environment for our students, the dress code for high school students must be followed by ALL of our students in grades 9-12.
Tops
- Shirts, blouses, and tops must have sleeves and be free of inappropriate words or pictures.
- All tops must cover the body to eliminate any exposure of cleavage or midriff.
- No tank tops, camisoles or spaghetti straps.
Bottom
- Docker style pants, jeans, knee length shorts, and capris in solid colors and prints are permitted.
- Pants and/or jeans with rips, cuts, slits, or inappropriate designs are NOT allowed
